Ardalan Clan is possibly one of the oldest clans in the world. The Ardalan clan or Erdelan (in Kurdish) of Eastern Kurdistan date and trace their ancestors to pre-Islamic era. It is said the Ardalans migrated to Eastern Kurdistan from the Amed region of Northern Kurdistan.
